Kneading (needing) My Pets

Ocee Ocitcat kneadingI think, in this whole diary, I have forgotten to mention my questionable habit of kneading my pets. This is me, meow (now), kneading my pet.  I think it goes back to my childhood, when I was abandoned as a young kitten.  This kneading time spent with my pet gives me comfort that I only remember from that time.  Ahh!  I love stretching out my claws and slightly pressing them against my pet.  Then, I start to suckle on my pet's shirt.  My pet really doesn't seem to mind as long as I don't press too hard.  The wet spot from sucking doesn't bother them either, except when they are about to go somewhere.  I have such pawesome pets.

I know that Shtankadoodle thinks that it is beneath us, cats, to seek comfort from our pets, but what are pets for?  I think that pets make the best of friends.  They are always there for you, even though we aren't always there for them; they always are sweet to us, even though we may scratch at them for no reason; and they are pretty good with remembering meals.  However, when I try to offer them a nice tasty mouse, lizard or bird, they don't seem too impressed.  This puzzles me, especially when they get upset by the nice tasty meal.  They don't like bird heads or mouse/lizard tails in the carport.  I will keep trying, though.  I only want the "best" for pets, and I will, one day, get them to taste these treats!
