Last Time On Star Cats:

As he headed for the small, dusty litterbox, a strange eminating, ambient, creepy noise came from behind Ensign Meow Meow.  A blue flash of light came with it.  It kind of felt like a moment in a show when a weird vortex from the future opens up and for some strange nonsense reason your captain flies out, muffles you and tells you that you made a bad decision.  Ensign Meow-Meow had seen that on TV once.  He whirled around in time to see his poofy, lazy, grey furred, captain, leap out of the swirling blue and green vortex on top of him.  His paw muffled Ensign Meow-Meow.

“You made a bad decision.  You thought no one would notice.  But someone did, many did, you are the one responsible for so many deaths.”

And now, the continuation...

"What do you mean?" Ensign Mew Mew whispered through his captain's muffling paw.  Captain Shtankadoodle slammed the door behind him and shoved his Ensign to the ground.  Rather unusual behavior for Ensign Mew Mew's Captain.

"I mean that you gave Messa that potion!" Shtankadoodle said hoarsely, as he fervently paced back in forth.

"B-But--how do you know? And how do you know Messa Ylakne?  And--and HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET HERE? And why do you have so much energy? And what did I ever do wrong? And-and--do I smell tuna fish colonge?" Ensign Mew Mew's words poured out rapidly from his panicked, unknowing face.

"Yes, they did finally come out with tuna fish colonge, second of all, I know Messa, because six years from now she's your wife-" Ensign Mew Mew interrupted.

"Wait, I'm married to an ALIEN? THAT'S MARRIED?!" Ensign Mew Mew felt like he was about to pass out.  So much to learn in just one minute!

"Uh, her husband passed away 6 years ago um, I mean 1 year from now." Shtankadoodle still paced around in a circle.  It almost would have seemed he woud have worn a path in the floor if he hadn't decided just then to sit down next to his Ensign.

"Well, what's wrong?  Really? Sounds like things are kind of normal to me..." Ensign Mew-Mew said, his pulse had finally slowed down as the the new information settled down in his mind.

"These primative people, these people nobody would have learned about until the turn of the century, you gave them that potion, and they have over thrown our Association.  They became violent, and now control space ways.  They raid other communties, and the Kling Meow Empire as you refer to it now, has been shattered.  Now the Kling Meows hide on planets and trade to passer-bys now--nothing like the quaint community they were...Um, um, Romugrowls, they team up with these aliens, making the most un defeatable force the GALAXY HAS EVER SEEN!!  Basically, you corrupted the entire future"  Shtankadoodle tried to explain to Ensign Mew Mew.

"Why was there an echo when you said the 'Galaxy has ever seen'?" Asked Ensign Mew Mew, who seemed quite fascinated with the thought.

"I don't know!  That's not important right now!" Captain Shtankadoodle interupted.

"No, seriously, say it again!" Ensign Mew Mew pleaded.

"Fine.  Alright.  THE GALAXY HAS EVER SEEN!" Captain Shtankadoodle said dramatically.

"There you heard it? It happened again!" Ensign Mew Mew said.

"Yeah.  That's funny.  But that's not important right now," Captain Shtankadoodles voice got sterner, "Right now, I need you to give me that blue potion thing.  Then we can go home and everything will be fine." Ensing Mew-Mew hesitantly place the injector into his captain hands.

"Okay, now we're going to like, never remember any of this when I hit this beacon on my shoulder.  Ready...set...GO!" A funny green smelling subtance accompanied the sound of the beacon.  Ensign Mew Mew and Captain Shtankadoodle were shaken.

"Captain?" Ensign Mew Mew whispered after a while.

"Yes?"

"That beacon smells weird.  Plus, I still remember everything you just told me..."

"Oh...that wasn't the beacon." Captain Shtankadoodle whispered back.

"Oh.  Then what was ---Eww! Captain!" Ensign Mew Mew exclaimed, jumping backwards.  Captain Shtankadoodle got up and dusted off his pants.

"It appears that the beacon did not work.  In other words," Captain Shtankadoodle dropped the potion in Ensign Mew Mew's paws, "This is not the cause of anything.  We have to find the real cause."  Ensign Mew Mew took a deep breath it could be anything.  A single thought or word or sighting of Ensign Mew Mew, himself, could have set off a chain reaction leading to the current future.

"Come on, let us go investigate." Captain Shtankadoodle led Ensign Mew Mew out of the "bath room".  When Ensign Mew Mew and Captain Shtankadoodle, finally, found there way into the living room, Messa Ylakne was busy talking to a doctor.  Ensign Mew Mew peered around the corner.

"Oh, that's a doctor we saw earlier today.  He's saying: I...would...do...that..."  The little portable translater that attached to the collar of Ensign Mew Mew's uniform was having trouble making out the foreign language.

"The doctor is telling her to come to a check up soon or he will call the police.  A custom they used to have" Captain Shtankadoodle said.  Because of the future he had come from, Captain Shtankadoodle had learn to fluently speak the forein language.  Ensign Mew Mew was seemingly impressed,"Wait, Bert?  Bert?  BERT?" Captain Shtankadoodle stood wide eyed and speechless.

"Who's Bert?" Ensign Mew Mew asked, turning to his silent captain.

"He's a president of the scattered Association in my time," Captain Shtankadoodle said slowly.  He turned to his Ensign, "He's our problem.  He's apparently a time traveler."
