The Troubles With Pets (and benefits)

Sometimes pets, or "owners", as some, poorly educated cats might say, can sometimes act more like a pest than a pet. You see, what inspired me to write this article is the hardships that I have with my very own pets. You have to purr and rub them and be happy and you might get extra back scrubs. (Kitties innerly strive for extra back scrubs, especially Ocee, who is the attention getter in this household). So as I was saying, even though you, as a kitty, may be "cute", to your pets, you have to maintain that inner urge to turn around and scratch your pet in the face. Be mellow, even though they are human, they are also your pet, and most pets don't deserve to be scratched in the face. So the trouble with pets (especially the smaller ones. . .I think the smaller ones are like the "kittens" of the species) is the fact that they hug you. They squeeze you. Then they lay down and squeeze and hug you...for minutes on end...or even hours. (Generally I don't think that they have the patience to do that sort of thing for hours though). Anyway, another stressful part of having pets, is adoration for your "cuteness" or your "Big little cute fluffy-wuffy, cutey-wutey, tiny-winy, tail"...that can get very stressful. I hope to have nothing on me that's "cutey-wutey", or "fluffy-wuffy", and hopefully nothing that's "tiny-winy"! So the point is, pets have a lot of disfavors, but then they have quite a few benefits. Food, I can list as number one, back scrubs, (As long as they aren't followed by anything such as "cutey-wutey"), they (usually) provide safe and comfortable places to nap, and they can provide quite the bit of entertainment to watch. My female, Ocee, spends hours just looking through the window in the door, watching our pets. Of course, if your a really good pet, you won't scratch their face, even when they, sadly, call you, "cutey-wutey," or "tiney-winey". If they're upset and they want to cry into your (recently licked and grromed) fur, than that's alright too. Of course, I'm not saying that you can't attempt to struggle out of their arms, but generally they like you to purr or something. Still, depending on how long they have cuddled you, I have every right to believe that you can struggle out of their arms. Oh, and another benefit, pets are really, really easy to train. Typically they like to train YOU, but nobody can train us cats, so, when you want food, you can paw at the food cabinet (I do that). If you want out wait at the door. If they still don't notice you after a while you can meow to get their attention, (I do that a lot, but I have heard of some horrible cases where they try too keep you locked up inside their house! I think they call cats that are trapped inside "indoor cats". I don't know how well I'd do indoors all the time, but you can spend that time to train them I suppose, or get there attention, like Ocee does. So, now that I filled you in on that bit, I suppose I can go now, I'm just trying to let you know how life with a pet can be (even though, now that I think about it, if you even have access to a computer like I do, you probably have a pet...Oh well, hope you use some of these tips, they work for me!)
